Spring Brings New Energy

Fresh Starts Here

As winter fades and the days grow longer, a sense of renewal settles in across the community. At The Banquet,
that same energy is felt around every table. Spring doesn’t slow the need, but it does bring a fresh rhythm—new
volunteers stepping in, familiar faces returning, and guests finding moments of hope in the everyday.

Song of Solomon 2:11-12
For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has
come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.

There’s something about this season that invites people to start again. For some, it’s signing up to serve for the
first time. For others, it’s coming back after a busy winter, ready to reconnect. Inside our kitchens and dining rooms, that renewed energy shows up in simple but meaningful ways—extra hands preparing meals, conversations that linger a little longer, and a shared sense that we’re all part of something bigger.

Guests feel it too. A warm meal, a welcoming space, and the consistency of being greeted with kindness can shift
the tone of an entire day. Spring reminds us that even small acts can carry forward in powerful ways.

At The Banquet, fresh starts happen every day. And with each meal served, each volunteer who walks through the
door, and each connection made, that energy continues to grow—one table, one moment, one person at a time.
