“Project: SOS is such a huge staple in the Sioux Empire. How do I get involved and/or what are some of the ways a person can help with the
event?” Tony G.
Dear Tony,
Project: S.O.S. is powered by people just like you, and there are many ways to get involved. As we get closer to the program, volunteer sign-ups will be available on our website, where you can help with preparing and packing backpacks, as well as assisting on distribution days. Roles include greeting families, organizing supplies, data entry, and helping ensure each child receives what they need.
There are also opportunities to support behind the scenes, such as picking up donated school supplies from local
partners and delivering them to The Banquet.
In addition, families, businesses, and community groups can host school supply drives. Many even turn it into a fun challenge to see who can collect the most.
Project: S.O.S. is all about making sure every child starts the school year with confidence. However you choose to
be part of it, you’re helping set that foundation.
Keep an eye on our website for upcoming sign-ups and ways to get involved—we’d love to have you be
part of it.
