Stop By For a Meal

Stay For The Community

When people think about The Banquet, they often think about a meal. And while food is certainly at the heart of what we do, there is something else that happens around our tables every day: people gather.

“Our mission is simple: Welcoming the Community to Gather and Serve, Feeding Body and Spirit” says Tamera Jerke-Liesinger, The Banquet’s Executive Director. “Yet sometimes the most overlooked part of that mission is the gathering itself. In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, sharing a meal remains one of the simplest ways to build community.”

The Banquet is open to everyone. Some guests join us because they need assistance. Others come for companionship, conversation, or simply a place where they know they are welcome. Around our tables, retirees visit with young families, volunteers sit alongside guests, and neighbors who may never have met elsewhere share a meal together.

That sense of connection matters. A meal can ease hunger, but gathering nourishes something deeper. It creates friendships, strengthens community bonds, and reminds us that every person deserves a place where they belong.

Whether you are looking for a warm meal, a familiar face, or simply an opportunity to connect with others, there is always a seat waiting for you. At The Banquet, the food may bring people through the door, but it is often the community that keeps them coming back.
